Today we met with our realtor and looked at a property for sale.
This $300,000 property includes a nice house, a few outbuildings, and 3.5 acres.
This home was very nice, property well maintained, and it satisfied several of our criteria. Things we liked include: open floor plan; nice two car garage with a 3rd bathroom; a beutiful fireplace; carport; barn; well-house (having municipal water and a well is nice); metal roofs on all the buildings; and fencing around the property. They’re raising a few cows and have the friendliest barn kitty, who’s missing most of its tail!
Ultimately, however, its proximity to a noisy highway wasn’t conducive to cultivating a zen vibe. Also, the land was mostly cleared of trees, was close to the neighbors, and didn’t feel much like a sanctuary. Additionally, we feel the current asking price is a bit too high given the location and what it has to offer.
We’ve created a list of other interesting properties, shared it with our realtor, and will be setting up appointments to tour them. We’ll keep you posted!
